A strong listing starts with the whole story.
- Build your submission. Gather the VIN, mileage, location, title and lien information, service history, modifications, known issues, and representative photos. Share uncertainty instead of guessing.
- Agree on the approach. Catch reviews the vehicle for fit. If accepted, choose a listing plan and agree on any reserve. Submission is free; planned listing fees follow acceptance and plan selection.
- Review before publication. Check the description, evidence, disclosures, and auction terms. You approve the presentation before the planned seven-day auction begins.
- Stay available. Answer vehicle questions, accommodate agreed inspections, and promptly flag new information. Keep the car available throughout the auction.
The vehicle remains with you. Catch does not buy your car or take ownership of it to run a listing.
Get comfortable before you commit.
- Read beyond the headline. Look through the specifications, seller disclosures, photos, records, and questions. A curated listing is not an independent inspection.
- Resolve the important unknowns. Confirm ownership, title, liens, mileage, condition, and registration requirements. Arrange an independent inspection before bidding if you need one.
- Set a complete budget. Allow for the vehicle price, marketplace fee, taxes, title and registration, insurance, inspection, and transport. Financing should be arranged before a live bid; an approval is not guaranteed.
- Prepare your account. One Catch profile supports both buying and selling. Live bidding will require identity and payment checks plus acceptance of the displayed fee and auction rules.
A clear bid. Time to respond.
Review the minimum bid, reserve status, and cost information before confirming. A live bid is a commitment to purchase under the auction terms. Demo bids create no obligation.
Reserve or no reserve
A reserve is the seller’s confidential minimum. The highest valid bid wins only if that threshold is met. A no-reserve auction has no minimum selling price.
Sellers may request a lower reserve during the auction; it cannot be raised after bidding begins.
The final two minutes
A valid late bid resets the remaining time to two minutes. The auction continues until that window passes without another accepted bid.
The sample listings let you test this extension. Their clocks and bids are local demonstrations.
Keep the discussion useful.
Ask specific questions about the vehicle, distinguish facts from opinions, and give the seller a chance to respond. Don’t publish contact details or private records in a public discussion. Material clarifications should be visible to every bidder.
For a viewing or inspection, agree on a time, location, and scope with the seller before bidding. The preview includes a preparation checklist; it cannot contact a seller.
The bid is one part of the cost.
| Item | Planned cost | When to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Submit a vehicle | Free | Before review |
| Catch Listing | $99; no seller commission | After acceptance |
| Catch Ready | $449 | After acceptance and media availability |
| Catch Select | Custom quote | Before authorizing a plan |
| Buyer fee | To be announced | Before live bidding opens |
| Third-party costs | Separate | Before booking a service |
Any payment authorization, charge timing, and release terms must be disclosed before a live bid. Catch currently places no card holds and collects no vehicle payments. Never treat the demo amount as a final purchase quote.

Winning bid
When the reserve is met—or there is no reserve—the buyer and seller move to the completion process. Confirm the agreed price and obligations in writing.
Reserve not met
The auction ends without a sale. A follow-up discussion may produce a separate agreement, but the high bid alone does not complete a purchase.
- Confirm the counterparty and documents. Match identity, ownership, VIN, lien information, and title details. Agree on the bill of sale and any payoff steps.
- Agree on payment. Confirm the method, timing, recipient, and any provider fees. Independently verify payment instructions. Catch’s payment and checkout integrations are still planned.
- Coordinate title and release. Agree on the sequence for cleared payment, signed documents, and vehicle release. Confirm any lien release requirements with the appropriate parties.
- Arrange pickup or transport. Confirm who books and pays, insurance, pickup location, condition documentation, keys, records, and delivery timing. Transport is separate from the bid.
Catch is building coordination around these steps. No lender, carrier, escrow, or checkout service is currently available through this preview; availability and provider terms will need to be confirmed for each live transaction.
Before you get started.
Can I buy and sell with one account?
Yes. Choose buying, selling, or both in the profile setup. Vehicle details belong to each submission, and live verification will be separate from profile preferences.
Does Catch inspect or guarantee every vehicle?
No. Listing review organizes the seller’s information. It does not certify the vehicle, its title, or its condition. Complete the checks important to your purchase before committing.
Can I try a bid here?
Yes. Open a sample listing, enter a qualifying amount, review it, and confirm the demo. The displayed bid and history update only in that page. Reloading resets them. No money moves.
Is a seller submission sent to anyone?
No. The preview walks you through the questions and a sample review screen. Files are not uploaded and the form does not join a review queue.
Is financing or delivery included?
No. Partner services are planned. They will have separate availability, eligibility, pricing, and terms. Arrange sufficient funds before placing any future live bid.
