Information we collect
- Account and contact details, including name, email, phone, address, age confirmation, preferences, and communications.
- Marketplace information, including bids, watchlists, seller submissions, vehicle records, photos, title and ownership information, and transaction status.
- Verification and payment information processed by service providers, such as identity checks, payment tokens, financing applications, payout details, and fraud signals. Catch should avoid storing full card or bank credentials when a provider can securely process them.
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser, pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, cookies, and interaction logs.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; publish and operate listings and auctions; process authorized fees; connect buyers and sellers; coordinate verification, financing, payments, transport, and support; prevent fraud; enforce marketplace rules; improve the Services; comply with law; and send requested or consented communications.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to the counterparty after an auction; to payment, identity, financing, inspection, transport, analytics, communications, hosting, and professional-service providers; when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; or as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, or sale. We do not treat a service provider’s processing for Catch as a sale of personal information. Any advertising or cross-context behavioral sharing must be separately disclosed and controlled before use.
Cookies and local storage
The current preview saves a sample profile and watch preferences in local storage on this device. Demo bids and question drafts stay in the open page and reset on reload. Seller forms do not transmit information or upload selected files. No demo question reaches a seller, and no bid authorizes a payment or hold. Clearing browser data removes saved profile and watch preferences. A live service may use necessary cookies for sign-in, security, preferences, and transaction continuity, and should request consent where law requires it before using nonessential analytics or advertising technologies.
Retention and security
We retain information as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
You may update account information, opt out of marketing, adjust browser controls, and request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information where applicable. Some records may be retained when legally required or necessary to complete transactions, protect users, or prevent fraud. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling a request.
Children, changes, and contact
Catch is not intended for anyone under 18. We may update this notice prospectively and will post the revised date. A privacy-request email, legal entity name, mailing address, state-specific disclosures, and vendor-specific details must be added before live launch.
